General information about Vietnam visa
The Vietnamese authorities introduced the electronic visa system in February 2017. Since then, Vietnam has been much more accessible for some travelers as all the visa formalities may be handled via the Internet.
An applicant from one of the Vietnam e-Visa eligible countries must only submit an online application form at least 5 business days in advance of the planned trip. Once approved, the e-Visa confirmation is delivered to the email inbox.
Thanks to the introduction of the electronic system of visa application, eligible travelers do not need to bother themselves with booking Embassy appointments or even leaving home to handle the visa application process.
There is only one type of visa to Vietnam, which is a one-entry permit allowing a 30-day stay. Its holder may use the e-Visa for the following purposes:
- business: all business-related trips, e.g., negotiating a contract, looking for business partners, or participating in various business meetings/events
- leisure: all tourism-related activities, e.g., vacation, sightseeing, family/friend reunions
- transit:for transiting through Vietnam on the way to another country

e-Visa to Vietnam Application Instruction
Filling out the Vietnam e-Visa application form will not take more than 15 minutes of your time. You will only need to go through the following steps:
- Fill out the online form: choose the purpose of your travel and provide all the necessary details. Next, upload the face photo and a scan/photo of the bio-data page of your passport.
- Pay the processing fee: use one of the available methods of online payment and cover the fee of 79 Euro charged for the professional assistance of our visa experts.
- Receive your visa: go to your email inbox and check whether the confirmation number has been already delivered there.

Vietnam visa requirements
Vietnam visa requirements are minimal and elementary to be met for every applicant. You will only need to have the following:
- a digital copy of the valid bio-data passport page
- a face photo
Important note: Face photos can be simply taken with a mobile phone or PC camera!
Vietnam eVisa: Important Information
- You must apply online for your Vietnam eVisa at least 5 business days prior to the date you plan to enter Vietnam
- The average processing time for Vietnam electronic visas is 68 hours
- The passport used for online application must remain valid for at least 6 months
- Only certain entry points recognize electronic visas - make sure to check which ones before your trip!
- If you change the entry point in Vietnam, you may change it in your visa application as long as it's the same type of entry point (for changes in the way of entering Vietnam, a new visa application is necessary)
- You may extend your Vietnamese visa by covering the additional fee (the extension is made with the help of the Immigration Department Office)
